CV Tomaž Krištof Tomaž Krištof is a Slovenian architect, researcher, and public intellectual, known for his socially engaged and critically reflective approach to architecture. He is the founder and principal architect of Studio Krištof, an architectural office based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he leads diverse projects ranging from public spaces and social housing to cultural facilities and urban strategies. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, working on a dissertation titled "Architecture as the Antlers of Communities," which explores architecture’s role in expressing collective identity and enabling democratic participation. Leadership and Public Roles Between 2019 and 2023, Tomaž Krištof served as the President of the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS). During his leadership, he played a key role in strengthening the voice of architects in public policy and fostering dialogue between professional, governmental, and civil society stakeholders. In the current term, he holds the position of President of the Architects’ Section at ZAPS, continuing his advocacy for higher architectural standards, sustainable development, and fair spatial planning. Following the catastrophic floods that affected Slovenia in 2023, he was appointed a member of the Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Reconstruction, where he contributes his architectural expertise to post-disaster recovery and planning.
